eixos principais: 1) a análise do enquadramento jurisdicional do concelho bracarense; 2) a
As balizas
concelho bracarense entre os anos de 1469-1498.The dissertation presented here had as its subject the function of the Concelho of Braga as well as
the sociological, economic and political characterization of the ruling elite council in the second
half of the fifteenth century. Although much has been advanced in the historiography of the
municipalities and municipal elites there is still much to be done, particularly with regard to more
regional and local type of works. Therefore , and because it existed in the history of Braga, a void
in the studies of the Concelho in the late medieval period , as well as about the group dynamics
that involve urban elites, became imperatively necessary to fill it with this work. The same was
based on three main axes: 1) the analysis of the framework of the Concelho of Braga, 2) the
characterization of the organization of the Concelho of Braga, with the identification of the positions
and whenever possible, of the men who exercised them; 3) identification of links of solidarity
among the elite district council and Archbishop of Braga Braga and the Cabido. The goals set for
timelines for this project - 1469-1498 - were roughly dictated (and adapted) by existing municipal
documenting to the fifteenth century, as was found for this period an almost total absence of Atas
de Vereação. Based on a exceptional documentary source, the Livro dos Prazos da Camara
Secular 1445-1509, we managed not only to better understand some of the dynamics of the
operation of the institution Braga district council , but also know the men who were part of the
group of individuals who made the municipality of Braga between the years 1469-1498
Jejum intermitente no emagrecimento: uma revisão sistemática
Among the various nutritional strategies that exist to facilitate weight loss, one of the most popular is the Intermittent Fasting (JI) diet. Typically, JI is defined as a total or partial restriction in energy intake between one to three days per week, or a complete restriction on energy intake for a defined period of the day. This study is a review article that aimed at the broad view of the intermittent fasting diets and evidenced the effects of the evaluation process of the nutritional strategy. A search was carried out in the Pubmed, Lilacs, Medline and the Scielo e-libraries to identify scientific papers published between 2007 and 2017. A total of 44 articles were selected, containing the descriptors in Portuguese and English: "fasting", "Calorie restriction" and "weight loss". Overall, many of the studies reviewed suggest that JI is effective for weight reduction, including benefits such as improved glucose metabolism, cardiovascular health, and maintenance of lean mass. However, it can be verified that of the studies developed in humans, published in the timeframe of the research, involved mainly short-term JI and groups with small numbers of individuals, thus questioning possible biological adaptations and future effects on The risk of diseases that may occur in individuals who practice this diet.
O projecto apresentado neste texto – “Transformar a

Beekeeping in Brazil: A Bibliographic Review
Brazil presents favorable conditions for beekeeping, having a suitable climate; native flowering plants with great potential for the production of honey, pollen, propolis, and royal jelly; and bees adapted to our conditions, tolerant to the main apicultural diseases and highly productive. Through the meliponiculture, the conservation of mainly native forest areas is allowed; therefore, they are the best environments for the creation of native bees and production of by-products of the beehive with quality. The stingless bees are very sensitive to any disturbance due to anthropogenic action. A systematic bibliographical review was carried out in different electronic databases, through descriptors referring to beekeeping in Brazil. The identification of articles and their inclusion occurred between January 2018 and April 2018. The bibliographic research was conducted in the following electronic databases: (1) Scientific Electronic Library Online (SciELO), (2) Public Library of Science (PLOS) Biology, and (3) ScienceDirect. In order to help in the process of standardization of bee products and traceability of the production chain, it was possible to draw a profile of the main bioactive substances of the beehive products of Brazil. It was also possible to relate the benefits of an adequate management of beekeeping and meliponiculture in Brazil
SARS-CoV-2 introductions and early dynamics of the epidemic in Portugal
Genomic surveillance of SARS-CoV-2 in Portugal was rapidly implemented by
the National Institute of Health in the early stages of the COVID-19 epidemic, in collaboration
with more than 50 laboratories distributed nationwide.
Methods By applying recent phylodynamic models that allow integration of individual-based
travel history, we reconstructed and characterized the spatio-temporal dynamics of SARSCoV-2 introductions and early dissemination in Portugal.
Results We detected at least 277 independent SARS-CoV-2 introductions, mostly from
European countries (namely the United Kingdom, Spain, France, Italy, and Switzerland),
which were consistent with the countries with the highest connectivity with Portugal.
Although most introductions were estimated to have occurred during early March 2020, it is
likely that SARS-CoV-2 was silently circulating in Portugal throughout February, before the
first cases were confirmed.
Conclusions Here we conclude that the earlier implementation of measures could have
minimized the number of introductions and subsequent virus expansion in Portugal. This
study lays the foundation for genomic epidemiology of SARS-CoV-2 in Portugal, and highlights the need for systematic and geographically-representative genomic surveillance. We gratefully acknowledge to Sara Hill and Nuno Faria (University of Oxford) and
